Terms
Gawk Marketing LLC operates Plainscan. These terms are short because the product is simple: a checker, not a certificate.
The product
Plainscan scans a public URL you paste. It reports markup issues in English. It is not an overlay, not a WCAG or ADA certificate, not legal advice, and not a lawsuit shield. Automated results are incomplete. Keyboard paths, screen reader UX, and a lot of WCAG AA are outside this scan. What a scan does not catch.
Human scans
No account is required for a free scan. The free result is issue counts and every finding title, with fixes redacted. Paying $14 once unlocks the copy-paste fix list and a PDF for that scan only. It is not a subscription and not unlimited future scans. A new URL or a re-scan after edits is a new scan. Pricing.
If you leave an email on a scan, we may use it for product email, not just the report. We do not sell the list. You can unsubscribe anytime.
Agent scans
Coding agents use POST /api/x402/scan and pay per scan in USDC through x402. Unpaid calls return HTTP 402. After payment the JSON is still a teaser: counts and sample findings, not the $14 copy-paste fix list. Humans should use the site and Stripe Checkout instead.
Use and abuse
You may only scan URLs you are allowed to fetch. We can refuse or stop scans that look like abuse, spam, or attacks on private or local addresses. Results are a markup checklist, not a pass.
